This weekend I saw an interesting music video on tv while I was busily chipping away wood for my printmaking class. The singer is “Jero.” He sang an Enka song, which is a style of Japanese song that is more popular with the older generations. So what’s the big deal with some guy singing Enka? Well, first Jero is probably the first Black Japanese Enka singer. This is his wiki page.
