“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2015.” It was interesting watching these two work together to get a bottle of lotion off our dresser. Oh the trouble they will get themselves into when they are older… This week E will be going back to school and I am putting K into daycare so that I can get some cleaning and organizing done. I am really tempted to just take a week off and do absolutely nothing though. It has been a very tiring trip back to California and the kids have been a handful since we came back to Tokyo…Read More →

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2015.”   Here we go again. I hope this year I’ll have better luck with the blog and posting more often. We’re currently still in LA at my in-laws home where the kids are enjoying all the toys they received from their grandparents. We leave in 2 days and it’s starting to feel a bit sad that we are leaving family behind once again. I guess all good things must come to an end eventually…Read More →

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.” E: Mommy, look! I can teach baby how to read words with my princess book!  Moments like these makes me glad we decided to have 2 kids, even if they do drive us crazy all the time.Read More →

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.” K loves imitating E a lot these days. When she saw E put on a princess dress, she ran over to Anna’s dress and asked me to put it on her.  My girls love being girly every now and then. Even though I don’t fully understand this whole princess thing, I let them geek out on the princess thing and am even an enabler when I make or buy more dresses for them.Read More →

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.” K imitates E all the time these days. She doesn’t even have to know or understand why E does the stuff she does, if she can imitate, she will imitate 🙂  My mind and my emotions are all over the place right now so I will refrain from writing too much today. So much going on and so much change that it’s hard to grasp it all at once.Read More →

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.” One of the rare photos with me in it, though I guess it’s more of a selfie with the kids. This was taken right before bedtime when both girls were refusing to settle down. K is always amused when she sees herself on the iPhone camera and E just loves to be in pictures. E also has a bruise on the top of her upper lip from when K swing a toy lamp at her face. It happened so fast and so randomly too. After a night of crying and sleep, E seemsRead More →

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.” We have been buying some 2nd hand furniture from a friend who is moving soon. The kids are really enjoying the new furniture in the house and making good use of them 🙂 Summer is coming to a close and E will be going back to school again in September. A good friend of ours and her family will also be leaving Japan in the next few weeks. It’s as if the change in season is bringing a whole bunch of other changes. On one hand, I can’t wait for summer to endRead More →

“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.” My kids are driving me crazy these days. The constant bickering, whinings, non-stop talking, screaming and crying are enough to make me give myself a timeout just so I can get some peace and quiet. But there are moments like this one where the kids are getting along and things are fine for just a few minutes. Times like these, I’m glad that I can spend time with them and watch them play together and laugh together with them. Then the fighting and the screaming starts up again and I pray that IRead More →
