For this project, I was thinking of doing another what is real and what is not theme. It’s sort of like what we see on the outside isn’t necessarily what is on the inside of a person. A person can be beautiful on the outside but incredibly ugly on the inside and vice versa. After many different sketches, I got the shadow idea from a random music video I watched on tv. Here’s a closeup of the little lonely green creature: The first one shows how a cute little creature who is on the brink of a breakdown has a potential of becoming something largeRead More →

I love using Adobe Photoshop. I use it most of the time to edit the RAW files from my dSLR (or at least when I’m not too lazy). It helps me color correct and brighten up dark photos, etc. Such a wonderful product…..consumes my computers resources like crazy but still a good program nonetheless. Last semester, I took a computer imaging class that mainly used Adobe Illustrator. Seeing how I only had photoshop for my dell laptop, I decided to buy a copy of Adobe CS3 suite (at student price which is really cheap compared to retail price) for my macbook (on loan from myRead More →

The semester was officially over on Wednesday….so what did I do the past 3 days of freedom? I worked, I cooked…and sorta cleaned… Since Jason has night shift right now, I would either eat dinner alone or I’d trek over to Roppongi Hills to eat dinner with him somewhere. Since I have the cooking itch, I figure the next best thing to a homemade dinner is a homemade lunch. So, tada!! This was my attempt to be a little bit healthier. This meal was meatless and the patties were made with tofu. Today we had… Just like ampm’s egg salad sandwich but with way moreRead More →

We really like this soda. It’s cherry flavored. Unfortunately, it’s only a seasonal soda and it’s no longer available at the combini’s we go to. Solution? Found it at rakuten. Each case was 2,000 yen and had 24 bottles. As of right now, we’ve already gone through a box and a half. Hey man, we’re trying to savor the flavor.Read More →

For my Japanese final presentation, we had two choices. 1. Make up a survey and ask 10 Japanese people. Put together the data and present it in class.2. Choose any video of your liking, learn 2-3 minutes of the dialogue and then mute it and do a voice over of the dialogue you just learned (which you can read if you want). Not really feeling like doing a survey, I chose option 2. There were only several of us who chose to do the 2nd option because it’s actually really hard to do. Most people chose a movie, jdrama or anime. Not wanting to doRead More →

Cherry blossoms bloomed and died between my March post and my last post. I’ll put up photos of the cherry blossoms in a later post. For now, I’ll put up photos of these freakishly neon colored flowers that I walk by everyday on my way home from work. It’s really amazing how such a brightly colored field exists. I think it’s the contrast between this color and the green grass. Maybe….Read More →
