Happy New Year, everyone! We’ve just returned from our trip to California and have been adjusting back to life in Tokyo. I had been wanting to post something about E’s last day of the school year and about Jason and my 7th wedding anniversary but then life happened and I got distracted by all the emotions and activities that happen. So a quick rundown of the past two weeks or so… E finished up her first year of preschool and started summer break. My paternal grandfather passed away after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and many other physical decline. He passed away in Hong Kong but is buried in the US. He was 91 years old. Guess who has a new haircut? No, not me. E did! This was her very first real haircut ever too. Jason had always said that he will not give E a haircut until she decides that she wanted one and last Saturday after bath time, she told Jason she wanted her hair short just like mine. Since she kept insisting on it, we decided to just cut her hair ourselves that night. Good thing I had hair cutting scissors for kids or it would have been interesting and even more of a disaster.
