So this happened yesterday, (Thanks to my friend, Sarah Jane, (well, technically her husband) for getting this photo of her! I stole a few from her blogpost) Yesterday, was E’s Kindergarten graduation ceremony. Technically, she will still be attending the same school next school-year but will be leaving midway to start Japanese elementary so they celebrated her “graduation” the year before. It’s a bit confusing for many of our friends and family back home because she’s technically in Pre-K because of her age but if we’re following the Japanese school system, she would technically be a kindergartener from this past April. Anyway… Because this wasRead More →

So this is happening soon… This month is a busy one. Tomorrow, the moms at E’s school will be having a farewell luncheon for 2 moms who are leaving Japan after this school year. In 3 days, we’re going to start meeting with various moving companies and getting quotes from them for our move. In a week, it’s Father’s Day. In 10 days, E is graduating from Kindergarten. She will still be at this school until next April since the Japanese school year starts from April. She will be a 1st grader when that time comes! In 11 days, E will start summer break. It’sRead More →

I’m going to do this post a little differently from the previous months. Mostly because May has been quite the month of craziness and I’m still trying to comprehend all the changes that are coming our way next month. Currently, I’m still in shock that we finally found a new apartment to move into. The whole housing issue has been a big stress factor for Jason and me because the school zone we want to live in is small and the places are either too small or too expensive. We found so many nice apartments that fit our requirements except they were just barely outsideRead More →

I find myself recording more videos on my phone recently than taking photos. Mostly because I’ve been compiling them into this app called “1 second everyday”. So here’s a snippet of our month of April. enjoying the effects of melatonin in the cold medicine I’ve been taking. I sleep so well at night. watching and rewatching episodes of “Modern Family.” reading up on fevers and what to do when my toddler has a high fever. listening to E talk my ears off. For E’s school’s science fair, I did an experiment with the kids for the parent participation portion. We blew a balloon using a chemical reaction between vinegar and baking soda πŸ™‚ enjoying living in our current neighborhood. Sometimes when I’m walking around our area, I wish we didn’t have to move because I really love where we live. But we want E to attend a particular elementary so it’s necessary for us to move. watching Disney Junior shows. My favorite one is Octonauts. Doc McStuffins is pretty good too πŸ™‚ reading nothing. I don’t really have any time to read these days. listening to songsRead More →

I love documenting my family but sometimes, I feel like I’m missing myself when I document our lives. So in an effort to include a bit of my own story, I’m going to start writing down things in my life that is happening right now. I’m probably going to make it a monthly thing though since not many exciting things actually happen to me. Currently… enjoying my one-on-one time with K while she’s still a baby. watching “Sherlock” (series 3) on the AppleTV. I just love this series so much. reading blogs I haven’t read in a long while. Mostly through Feedly though. listening toRead More →

I had been wanting to post something about E’s last day of the school year and about Jason and my 7th wedding anniversary but then life happened and I got distracted by all the emotions and activities that happen. So a quick rundown of the past two weeks or so… E finished up her first year of preschool and started summer break. My paternal grandfather passed away after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and many other physical decline. He passed away in Hong Kong but is buried in the US. He was 91 years old. Jason and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. We flewRead More →

It’s already June, eh? Time sure flies by fast especially when there’s a baby around. Wondering how everyone is coming along? Well, we’re still hanging in there. – K – These days, K is sleeping through the night (made easier by the fact that we co-sleep with her). She’s a bit fussier than when she was first born but she’s still a lot easier to calm than E ever was. It’s hard to believe that next week she will be 4 months old next week.Β She’s also mastering the art of tummy time and has flipped over a few times, though I’m never sure if it’sRead More →
