If you can take only one picture, what would you capture? This was a question that a speaker had asked us at one of the lectures I attended a few weeks ago. It’s an interesting question especially since we live in a time where digital cameras make it possible for us to take limitless amounts of photos. I almost feel as if the ease of the digital age has made us think less about what and how we want to capture something because you can just keep taking a photo until you get the right one. I also find it quite thought provoking because youRead More →

I never shared much about our trip back to California in December. Part of the reason was because I didn’t feel like wading through the 4,000+ photos I took when I was home. I think it’s about time I got back into the rhythm of things and started sharing some of those stories. I know, I know, it’s already February so it’s weird talking about things that happened 2 months ago but there are some pretty funny moments that just need to be shared. So let us start with the one with all the sprinkles. E and I stayed with my sister for a weekRead More →

Sorry for the lack of presence on the Internet lately. I’ve been spending time with my sister and her family and it’s been an interesting week especially since I’m going solo with E and she’s been testing her boundaries with me a lot. One thing I’ve come to enjoy seeing a lot this week is the interaction between E and her cousins. I thinks it’s great that she has cousins so close to her age to play with. Zach is only 3 months younger and Zoey is about 2 years younger. The small age gap allows them to play together a bit easier. I shouldRead More →

I suppose Black Friday has come and gone along with another year of Thanksgiving. I hope that those of you who went out to join in on the discounted shopping got the things you had your eyes on. For the rest of us who either shopped online for deals and discounts or those of us who decided to forgo the whole event, I hope you had good rest after your Thanksgiving meals. For me, I did a little online shopping but not too much. All the Black Friday hoopla with people camping out in front of stores in the wee hours before stores opened onRead More →

I want to wish my family and all my friends in/from the US a Happy Thanksgiving. This is our 5th year of spending Thanksgiving overseas so there was no turkey or large family gatherings for us or even a Thanksgiving holiday. I do miss family during this time of the year but I am thankful that I will always have a home to return to whenever we go back. I am thankful for a lot of things big and small and I had wanted to write a list of every single thing I’m thankful for but that might take forever to complete. So instead, IRead More →

I am currently feeling very proud of my mom right now. Why? Because she freakin braved the Amazon rainforest and climbed all the steps to reach the top of Machu Picchu. And she did all of this without her family by her side. Why is this so amazing, you ask? Well, if you know my mom, you would know that she’s not an adventurer. She’s got the heart of a traveller but does not have a single adventurer’s bone in her body. That may sound harsh but it’s true and she would have agree that it was true too. My mom likes to travel butRead More →
