E doesn’t like most of the toys I bought her.  The only thing that really amuses her is this cloth book that makes crinkly sounds.  For some odd reason, the crinkly sound can make her stop crying in an instant. Doesn’t always work though…. E is such a strange child.Read More →

J, E and I went out to Odaiba yesterday to check out the 1:1 scale gundam that has been the talk of the town here. We were expecting to see a humongous gundam from far away but what we got was much smaller than we had hoped. It’s not tiny per se but still…we had higher hopes. Actually, come to think of it, it’s probably at the correct size as the one portrayed in the gundam series. I mean, it’s suppose to be big enough to destroy things but yet small enough for a normal human being to climb into it and pilot it. Anyway,Read More →

E and I went out to Roppongi Hills on Thursday to catch a movie.  It is the first time in 2 years since I’ve seen one and it’s E’s first movie ever. How did I manage to keep her quiet the entire movie you ask?  I didn’t.  In fact she watched maybe 5 minutes of the beginning, made a bunch of gurgly sound and squeals for the next 10 minutes and pretty much fussed the entire time, even cried loudly a few times.  So how was it we didn’t get kicked out? Well it turns out that every other Thursday, the theater reserves a timeRead More →

Before E was born, Jason and I took a 2 day birthing class with 9 other couples. Here we all are before giving birth…. We’re all probably around 8 months pregnant at this point in time. Anyway, today E and I met up with some of the moms and their babies.  Mostly to just hang out and share birth stories and also to check out each others babies. I present to you 6 of the graduates of this birthing class…. They’re all really adorable, aren’t they? E is the oldest since I was the first in the class to give birth.  Sakura (the one passedRead More →

This is a nerd post so unless you are a gamer and know about Final Fantasy 2, you probably won’t get it. Ellie’s been grumpy the past few days, crying, whining and harder to console during awake hours and refusing to sleep despite her obvious tired cues. Thus this conversation….. Me: *working on calming Ellie to sleep*  <Is she sleeping?> Jason: <Her eyes are closed but she doesn’t sound asleep.> Me: <Yea, she’s been resisting sleep lately despite being really tired.> Jason: <She’s a paladin.> Me: ….. Jason: <Yea, you know, a paladin because paladin’s can resist sleep.   She’s a paladin/red mage because red magesRead More →

Happy 3 months to Ellie! I’m still in awe that 3 whole months have already gone by. I don’t even remember time flying by that fast. Most days I feel like time slows down or even stops. I guess being a stay-at-home mom when you’re not meant to be one can really mess with your sense of time. 3 months…. Things have really changed a lot in these past 3 months. Breastfeeding finally picked up and now Ellie’s getting just my milk and no formula (though we do have some for backup). She’s gotten much bigger and much more heavier. She also cries less thanRead More →
